This is the first blog I am writing in my life. Hope I get the patience and time to write many more. This blog is dedicated to my friend/brother Sujith who has inspired me in many ways. In fact, the idea of writing a blog was given by him. Here goes...
But, I always buy these kind of books whenever I see them. :)
I got myself the right book the previous time I went to EKM Siva temple (My fav place in EKM). Its a book named, 'Take your Time' by Eknath Eashwaran. I am 25 pages through it. Hope I will complete at least this one. So far, the book has seemed like my story. The book is basically about the skill of leading a relaxed life, utilizing all the time you have. The author says that in spite of the tight schedules of our daily lives, we can go through them without doing multiple things at a time.
Where is this world off to in this hurry ? What are the people achieving by leading such a hectic life ? Cant the world lead a more relaxed life, sacrificing money ? I ask this question to myself a lot these days. I hope to find a pragmatic answer to this someday and have the courage to stick to that answer. In fact, the answer is everywhere, especially in 'naattinpurams' where I have felt the time to flow in slow motion. People have all the time in the world to go to temple, have a chat with friends at a ground, see movies, see relatives and what not ! This paradox of not finding enough time in a life is what the author is unravelling in this book.
I recommend this book to all my fellow Software Engineers who are notorious for doing multiple things at a time. Eg: executing an sql in one window, editing an excel sheet in another and thinking about a meeting in the evening :))

That was a good start da, And atlast you've made it.

Some peoples are born go getters who do not bother much about values..some other live on their artistic skills..yet some others want to be in someone elses shoes want fame without spending much energy..some succeed..some dont..most want to rule the world or be on top of the world atleast in the depth of their hearts..others think why cant me too do the same?..the world is made grow faster..but wont it get old and worn out sometime?..will the resources in the world last for ever?..
